Reshma Begum stuck up in Muscat, Oman for 12 months rescued, thanked Smt Sushma Swaraj & Amjed Ullah Khan for help :
Mrs Reshma Begum holder of Indian Passport No: P K5525633, r/o H No: 16-7-31/E/1 Moosa Nagar, Chaderghat was in search of job due to her financial problems. She was approached by a Traffic Police Constable Mr Sattar a resident of Amberpet, Hyderabad and was offered a job in a house of a Shaik in Muscat, Oman. She was promised a salary of Rs/ 25,000. She went to Muscat, Oman on 30th Nov 2017. She was received by another agent in Muscat, Oman Mr Mohd Rafiq. She was asked to work first at the residence of his Kafeel Yahya Baba for eight months were she was tortured very much and was later sold to another Kafeel Mohammed Sultan and was being asked to work for 15 hours daily without proper food and accommodation. She was being paid only Rs/ 10,000. Her Children's fell I'll and she wanted to go back home. Her kafeel didn't allowed her to travel back to India and demanded Rs/ 3,00,000 to release her.
Her family approached Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT for help on 14th Sep 2018 who took up her case with Smt Sushma Swaraj Minister for External Affairs Govt of India. The Ministry for External Affairs directed the Indian Embassy in Muscat to rescue her as soon as possible. The Officials of Indian Embassy in Muscat rescued her and kept her in Embassy Shelter home and pursued the matter.
Negligence Chaderghat Police: Zubeda Begum sister of Reshma Begum approached Inspector of police Chderghat for taking necessary action against traffic police Constable Sattar for cheating her sister on 14th Sep 2018 but inspite of 3 months no FIR was registered and no action was taken against Sattar. Instead the Chaderghat police called Sattar once to the Police Station and scolded the complainant for approaching them against a traffic policeman. The Ministry for External Affairs and Indian Embassy in Muscat was recurring asking for an FIR to take up the case in Muscat court as her kafeel was not releasing her but the Chaderghat police was busy saving a traffic police Constable.
Rescued women facing harrassement at the hands of employees of shelter home in Indian Embassy in Muscat:
As per the version of Reshma Begum she said that there are many women languishing in shelter home of Indian Embassy in Muscat and they are being treated very badly by two women employees Mrs Rita and Mrs Ana who are not supplying proper food, The food is given only once a day, they are being denied Soap, Oil & Shampoo etc, they are being denied proper clothing. She said that the senior officials supply all material for the inmates but the above to mentioned wardens take all material to their homes instead of supplying among inmates.
After reaching Hyderabad Mrs Reshma Begum met Amjed Ullah Khan and thanked her for taking up her case and rescuing her. Reshma Begum said that her case would have been solved in a week but due to non-registering of FIR by Chaderghat Police and carelessness of the officials of Indian Embassy in Muscat she has to stay for 3 months in Shelter home of Indian Embassy.
