All species of the genus Naja are capable of delivering a fatal bite on a human being. Most species have a strongly neurotoxic venom, which attacks the nervous system, causing paralysis, but many also have cytotoxic characteristics that cause swelling and necrosis and have a significant anticoagulant effect. Some also have cardiotoxic components to their venom.
Several species of Cobra, referred to as snake snakes, have developed a specialized poison delivery mechanism, in which their front teeth, instead of releasing venom through the tips (similar to a hypodermic needle), have a striated aperture on the front surface which allows the snake to push the venom out of the mouth. Although usually referred to as "spitting," the action is more like "squirting." The range and accuracy with which they can fire their venom varies from species to species, but is primarily used as a defense mechanism. Once sprayed onto the skin of a victim, the poison act as a serious irritant. If it is introduced into the eye, it can cause a severe burning sensation and temporary or even permanent blindness if not cleaned immediately and completely.

Mangrove Snake - Boiga dendrophila
This beautiful snake up to 2.5 meters long inhabits the mangroves and swamps of the Indian subcontinent, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
This brightly colored snake carries a weak venom, but it can cause considerable damage in the region surrounding the bite.
Their feeding is made up especially of smaller reptiles such as snakes, birds, amphibians and fish. Which paralyzes with its venom. They are fairly calm snakes, although they may be treacherous, but usually only attack if they are much disturbed and so are kept as pets in some countries.
