The python-reticulate (Python reticulatus) is a species of snake from the Python family found in Southeast Asia. It is considered one of the longest reptiles today and one of the three heavier snakes. Like all pythons, they are non-venomous constrictors and are not normally considered dangerous to humans. Technically, an adult python would be strong enough to kill an adult male, but attacks of this species are not commonly recorded.
Python reticulatus is a very adaptable snake with a great ability to spread through the environment. There have been reports of snakes swimming long distances in rivers, crossing one island to another.
